Where do you buy your Vitamin A and D (not online)

I live in Windsor also a border town and I get my Vitamin A and D at the Henry Ford hospital pharmacy in Detroit. I don't need a script and can just buy the 50,000 ui over the counter. I'm not sure what hospital might be in port huron but you may want to try there. If worse comes to worse you could always head back to Detroit and go to Henry Ford instead. I think its only a 45 minute drive  through the states. Best of luck in your search.

Yes they are. They are the dry versions that I used to get from vitalady.

My surgeon's office sells dry A and D now.  They are in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Have you asked your WLS office if they have plans to carry them in house for their patients?  That way you don't pay shipping.

FYI:  Call and check with Vitalady.  I know I wait until I have an order that qualifies for free shipping.  I don't know about her policy on out of the US shipping rates, though. 

I am not surprised you can't find them at all in Canada.

You probably will have to bite the bullet and pay shipping.

I order from Vitalady and usually end up paying about 50-60 in shipping and then 30-40 in customs on top of that.

I have now signed up kinek . com which is a cross border pickup.  They give you a US address to have items shipped to and then you go there to pick it up- it's $5 per package.  I am about 1.5 hours from the border. My next vitamin order will go to this address.  Yes, it will cost in gas and yes they can charge me customs when I get over the border but the shipping will be free if I order a certain amount.   Also, I will be able to order samples of protein and try to find a new brand I like! 

FYI, I have used kinek for a couple other purchases and both times I was completely open with the officer at the border crossing, saying I was going over to pick up a parcel.  30 minutes later I returned, told them about the parcel and the value and was waved through both times without paying customs.

I have puchased prescription strength (25,000IU) Vitamin A off the shelf at a local health food store, but the Dry D (50,000IU) you're going to have to order, either from Vitalady, or from eBay or Amazon (yes, those two places are sources)  You can also order direct from Bio-Tech, which several vendors on Amazon and eBay also carry.  I always look for the lowest possible price, so I find myself ordering from a couple different sources.  I also buy my Whey Protein Isolate in bulk (10# bag) from Lucky Vitamin.  They also have some of the dry fat solubles vitamins we use.

If you cannot get them online, then your best bet is to find a compounding pharmacy that can make the dry capsules for you.  They may or may not require a prescription.

I've never seen any dry  fat soluble vitamins on store shelves.  This has strictly been a mail order task for me, to get my dry vites in the necessary potencies.
