Breast Reduction before surgery?

I would wait. If you have other plastics done at the same time, you can usually negotiate for a discount, if paying all cash.

Or if insurance pays for some of the reconstruction after extreme weight loss, that would cost you less overall, since you would only pay for uncovered procedures done at the same time. So insurance would cover anethesia, and OR time for example.

I had a mastopexy (breast lift) several years ago and, while I was going through it, was very active on the PS board here on OH as well as another one.  There were women who had breast reduction and then lost a lot of weight - and ended up practically boob-less.  You will lose weight in your breasts as well, so keep that in mind.  Some women lose more, some less.  It will depend on your body.

BTW, I lost 135 lbs (at the time I had the mastopexy).  Even though my breasts were 'deflated,' there was still enough breast tissue to create some pretty awesome breasts WITHOUT implants.  I am VERY, VERY happy to NOT have implants!  Some of the horror stories I have heard about implants (rejection, leaks, bubble-boob, etc) is why I made that choice.  Had I had a reduction prior to the DS, I may not have had enough tissue left.  Food for thought.

I also had a friend who lost a great deal of weight, had PS and is now on baby #2.

My breast lift surgery was 6 years ago and I am now in my early 50's, but my breasts are still perky.
