2 weeks out =)
DS on 10/11/12
Today makes 2 weeks since I added the switch to my sleeve. I've lost 28 pounds since my pre-op appointment 4 weeks ago - of that, 12 are since surgery.
This gives me a total loss of 100 pounds from my highest weight... So glad to see that number again!
Making progress!!!

I know the feeling!!! But I'm so glad I did it. I haven't had any negative side effects yet. I've kept my diet pretty strict. Protein, protein and more protein... Now I'm starting to add some soft steamed veggies. For some reason, I thought being revised would make me feel different somehow (hungerier or maybe more calorically deprived)... Don't know if that made any sense, but I still feel the same.
The only issue I have is for about 2 hours every night, I'm in the bathroom going #2. This morning, I was up and down between 3a-5a. I've heard that it's normal for this stage, so I've adjusted my bedtime to accomodate for the extra awake time. Although I have gone to sleep on the toilet a few times and woken up with legs so numb I could hardly stand. LOL!
I hate that I feel like I'm starting over again, but I'm glad I'm getting a second chance.
Onward and downward. =)

Howdy fellow 2 parter. I'm 13.5 weeks out myself. I've not hit a stall yet so I'm grateful for that. I'll be interested how you get on.

I'm expecting the normal week 3 stall this week, but I'm hoping I won't stall. I've always heard such negative things about having a matured sleeve and then doing the DS afterward. I really want to be successful. I'm gonna keep fighting!!!
I'm glad to hear that you are doing well!!!

Yes, I know what you mean about the negative stuff, but that's mostly second hand info, whereas I've corresponded with some 2 parters who have done very well after part 2.

Well, we are gonna add our success to the pool too!!!
When I started looking into adding the DS a few years ago, there were NO 2-parters on the board. Since I've been back these last few months, I've seen RNYers, sleevesters, and bandsters all want DS revisions!!! It's crazy! Good crazy... but still... Crazy the difference of a few years can make.

My sleeve is two years old... so I suppose it's also matured. But apparently, I have to treat it like it's a baby as my Dr. wants me to redo the 2 wks liquid, 1 wk mushy and then re-introduce foods.
Interesting to hear about the new bathroom hours. Will that change over time or will we be sleeping on the toilets in the early early morning hours?
Happy to see two 2-parters here! Also good to hear that you are both continuing to lose! I think my biggest fear is that I will have the surgery and still be stuck at my current weight and have my diabetes return... so your posts are quite reassuring to this newbie.

I'm going through the phases all over again too. It's all good though. After surgery, I thought the Dr resleeved me! I guess with the 2 week liquid diet and intra-abdominal swelling - it was sip sip sip all over again. I still have really good restriction but it's definitely more accomodating than 2 weeks after being sleeved. No problems getting water and protein in.
I was told the bathroom issues would be like that for the first 6-8 weeks and then your bowels start to normalize. I don't expect them to always be this way, but I'm glad that it's during the night and not during the day while I'm at work!!!!! I'd never get anything done! LOL!
Not losing was one of my biggest fears too. My biggest problem with the sleeve was that my body wanted to hold on to EVERYTHING. It can't do that with the DS. I'm very happy so far.
