I hope you're documenting what's going on with the job and looking for a new one. I hate hearing you're having such a rough time.

I know it hasn't bothered you before but you might try eliminating the rye toast and any other gluten that might be slipping in.

I actually saw your hemp hearts at Whole Foods last weekend and thought about trying them...I have no idea what to do with them though.

Hemp hearts are just shelled seeds, like shelled pumpkin seeds or shelled sunflower seeds only much smaller in size and can be used in the same way. .  They are high in protein and have the highly desired 3:1 omega3 to omega6 oils.  They taste somewhat like sunflower seeds and can be eaten raw, or toasted.  To toast the seeds heat them in a nonstick skillet stirring continuously -  they will smell like popping corn only better.

Because hemp hearts are so small it is a little more difficult to just pick up a few and toss them in your mouth for snacking like you would pumpkin seed. Fill some container such as an empty flip top vitamin bottle or a small ketchup bottle with raw or toasted hemp hearts and just flip the top open and pour a little into your mouth.

Sprinkle them on salads or into yogurt or on hot cereal.

Put equal amounts of ground flax seed and hemp hearts in a cereal bowl, add cream or half & half, dash of salt,  heat in microwave until hot and eat like hot cereal (substitutes for a bowl of oatmeal).  Top with butter, cinnamon, splenda brown sugar mix or other sweetener of your choice.  Throw in some raisins or frozen wild blueberries or pecans or walnuts.

GF sprinkles them on top of Mr Peanut bread before sticking it in the oven.

GF also added them to some fruit salads - she put a bunch in a delicious Waldorf salad made with lots of mayo dressing which turned a mostly carb dish into a decent protein and high fat dish with a good amount of fiber.  Another interesting fruit salad that others might be interested in this time of year: a cranberry relish or salad made by grinding up (chopping? processing? not a cook so don't know the terminology ) raw cranberries, a whole unpeeled orange, a whole unpeeled cored apple; add chopped celery, halved grapes, pecans and a bunch of hemp hearts.  She poured red sugar fee jello over it all. This was observed by this non-cooker so don't take it as a formal recipe.

Another GF invention: In micro melt dark chocolate Hershey's Kisses or chocolate chips or some other dark chocolate and add equal amounts of toasted hemp seed and drop by small spoonfuls onto wax paper to cool.

Blend into smoothies
Add to meatloaf, chili, lasagna, soups, etc.  Adding hemp hearts turns carby tomato soup into a decent enough protein dish.
Really very good in chicken salad.  Haven't tried tuna salad yet but expect it would be good too.
Hemp hearts are a great vegetable protein source for those trying to avoid meat.

A google search might turn up other ideas.

I haven't been by in a week or so ...

B. protein smoothie (50 grams protein, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 2 pumps sf simple syrup)
L: Half a bacon cheeseburger and a slice of bundt cake
S: 1/4 cup mixed nuts
D: Progresso Steak & Potato soup
S: 1 handful of chips
D2: cheese, pepperoni and crackers, 2 shrimp

Not a great day overall. When I look at this is seems really odd so with my two dinners so I thought I'd explain my day. ;)

I get up around 7:30, that's my protein shake & coffee time. I have lunch between 11:00-11:45. I'm at work from 12:00-9:00 PM so I have to take breaks and lunch at their schedule. *grumble* I can eat while working if I need to so it's not usually an issue. My lunch break is about 4:15pm so I just have dinner then. I usually eat a second dinner when I get off work at 9. Crazy. I hate this schedule. But, it's easier than my previous 4x10 schedule where I didn't get off wor****il 10pm.

I really need a new schedule.
