Dealing with attention - Question for the ladies

I used to have lots of great men friends. Just friends. Now it seems that is very difficult. I thought I made a new "just friends" when traveling with family but his emails and phone calls made it clear that he wanted a more serious relationship. I am not interested in that. I find that I have to curb my natural friendliness because it is misinterpreted. (never had that problem at 275) I love having friends to attend events and travel with and it isn't happening anymore. Sadly, I've lost my gay men friends and traveling companions.
Now I guess I try to look less approachable. --Not my natural self.
