Thursday is my DS Day!!!!
DS on 10/11/12
I can't believe it's finally here!!! I've managed to lose 18 pounds so far on my liquid diet that started Sept. 28th. Giving me a total of 90 pounds lost from my highest (again...). It's a far cry from my 189 I had originally lost with just the sleeve, but I'll get back down there again. Hopefully this time next year I'll be back there.
I'm not freaking out quite as much as I was last week. Thank goodness, too. I think last Thursday, I was a wreck. Now I'm just ready get it done and work on recovering and find my new normal.
There is a little part of me that wishes I had just done the DS 5 years ago. But there's a bigger part that is glad that I didn't. I really learned a lot about myself and my body in those 5 years. I'm a little older, a little wiser, and definitely more prepared mentally for the changes that I will be going through. Wishing I had found my counselor years ago though... I have come to terms that my idea of "normal eating" is a figment of my imagination. "Normal" is a relative term and differs be each individual. I have to find my new normal and quit coveting the sandwich the person next to me is eating.. =)
I'm really looking forward to where this to road takes me in my journey!!!

All the best for an easy recovery. Wheat disagrees with a lot of people so there won't be much to covet.
