Creon - Anyone on it?
I am on Creon, have been since six months out, and it did not stop or slow my weight loss.
What it *did* do, is help me absorb more nutrients from my food intake.
I will be four years out in February, and my weight is stable between 160 and 170, prior to excess skin removal. I'm down from over 400 pounds(check ticker). I do have a few nutritional issues that I'm trying to get corrected, and I'm working like HECK to do that, because I don't want anybody saying the word REVISION to me!
My doctor says I do not need to be below 150 at my final weight, due to my age, build, and other medical issues(Lupus and Fibro)
I might add, I have had personal experience with PCM (protein calorie malnutrition), and had it not been for one of my DS cohorts (we both came through St Vincent's/ Dr. Inman) going through it and posting about it, I wouldn't have known what was happening.
That's just one reason why we all need this board, and to continue to share our DS journeys, good, bad or ugly! We learn *so* much from each other!
