Is there any chance you take the Costco/Kirkland brand of calcium citrate?
I ask because they add B6 to it, which I initially felt was a bonus. Many of us take far more calcium supplements than the average bear, and if we aren't malabsorbing the B vitamins, that B6 builds up pretty fast.
My B6 only (other b's were normal/high, but not like the b6) was sky high, so I had to switch to taking the combo B once a week, and ditch that brand of calcium citrate. I haven't noticed other brands adding the b6 to the calcium citrate,

I take Twinlab B-100 for my B Complex, and I do my own B12 shots twice a month. I try to keep my B12 in the 1,000's, not the upper hundreds.
I use the Equate (Walmart store brand) Calcium Citrate with D ( 8 daily) as well as the Equate Multis (4 daily) I have had issues with calcium from the word go, and along with the other deficiencies, I'm a nutritional mess. My focus this month is trying to get my parathyroids to go back to sleep and stop leaching calcium from my bones. it doesn't help that I'm postmenopausal, and bone leaching is going to happen as part of that, anyway. I also got a Reclast infusion. I'm doing a Cal-Mag-Zinc supplement ****tail (Zinc is also on the list of deficiencies, so its 200mg daily)
I'm also working on a D deficiency as well as the others, due to my nutritional sloppiness as my Mom was transitioning. I'm taking 200,000 IU's weekly.
I got my D off of eBay, - 12 bucks for 30 capsules.
They're made by Ortho Molecular Products and are 50,000 IU per capsule.
I also have a K1 deficiency, and I'm taking 2,000 mcg of that three times a week. I take 10,000 mcg of K2 weekly, but unfortunately, that's not the one that gets checked when you have your labs. It's K1 they're looking at. I would have to have a deficiency of K1 going on right now, as luck would have it, I darn near sliced through my middle finger last night cutting carrots for a Crock-Pot pot roast. There's a pretty good gash there, and if the healing looks funny to me by Monday, I'm going to the doctor. No signs of infection or anything like that, but if it starts looking funny, off I go.
I just got my recheck labs back after a month of calcium, iron and multivite infusions, and my levels are not totally fixed, but are trending upward. My iron is through the roof though at 363, so I'm going to back off of the iron for a little bit. and ask my doctor to periodically check it to see when I get back into high to mid normal range, then work to keep it there.
I'm seriously considering purchasing Vitalady's "Fix-It" plan for deficiencies, but I'm going to have to save up for that. In the meantime, I'll do as much as I can to get the off levels back in the normal range. It should be fixed with my next rechecks, as I've gotten back in the nutrition/supplement saddle!

Vitalady's Biotech Dry D is cheaper and taking 50,000IU daily made my numbers shoot up to the top of the normal range from the bottom of the normal range in just 3 months.
I had OHIP approved Duodenal Switch surgery with Dr. Dennis Hong at St. Joseph's Hamilton on March 7th, 2012. Want more information on the DS in Ontario? Send me a private message!
I thought she sold everything under her own custom label. I've purchased Bio Tech before, and 12 bucks for 30 capsules was cheap compared to what Bio Tech costs. I'm sure it's less if you do the math, and if it comes in a quantity higher than 30, but some months, I just don't have the hundreds to spend on vites! Not to say that I don't take them, I do, but different vites run out at different times, and I replace empty bottles in a cycle.
Danni, this stuff looks interesting. The Aloe Vera should be fine. some ppl drink it.
I had a problem with too much B6 also. Doc told me to stop the B complex and the multi vites. I did for a while and then added back in the multis. Well crap, it was still too much and this time I developed some nerve damage in my foot. Yikes! Panic time. So I stopped them both and now (months later) the foot is better. I have been taking separate. B 1,2,9, and 12.
When I took oral Biotin as a newbie I got stomach aches, so that would be my only concern. But maybe I'll try them. Keep me posted if you do. Thanks, Jenny
Hi Jenny,
What did the nerve damage in your foot feel like? I have a numb surface area the size of a tennis ball on my upper arm, and nerve pain shooting at my neck level of my spine. My B-12 was too high by a lot last lab a few weeks ago. Stopped the excess B-12, the neck pains are all gone, but not the numb arm.

Hi Sandra,
It was the top of my left foot and it was the same whether I wore a shoe or not. So pressure didn't really matter. It mostly was a burning pain both on the surface and underneath. I read that it would take months to go away and that was exactly the case (after eliminating the B6.)
My B12 has been greater than 2000 and my hematologist doesn't care at all and that's his thing. I have read on this board that others have said the same about their hematologist and high B12.
Glad at least some of your pain is gone. That must have been a real "pain in the neck."

Hope the arm feels better soon. Have you had your B6 tested?
