Gurgling Sounds

I'm now 8 weeks out. How long does it take for these sounds to go away? Do they ever go away?

They seem to be getting worse. More so, when I have Water or Krystal Light.

How do you deal with "work meetings" when the sound of your gut is louder than the person speaking?

I ususally just joke about it having a mind of its own.

It will also depend on what you eat. Right now, everything is upsetting to the tummy. It's been in a big trauma.

The more noise mine makes the bigger the indication I could have chosen better food. Soda is particularly bad .. :p

On the 17th of this month it will be 6yrs. I'm still waiting for it to stop. I've had people turn and look at me in stores because of it. Very embarrassing.

Mine isn't so bad now...but it still happens. The worst offender was V8 juice...I'd drink it and gurgle for hours, LOUDLY!

As far as others...normies gurgle too...so just make a joke about it and go on. Absolutely NOTHING to be embarrassed about since it IS part & parcel of the human anatomy...WLS or not!

You might find that some foods make more gurgling sounds than others and avoid those when you expect you will need tummy quietness. My loudest noises are associated with processed carbs after avoiding them for a while (week or more). Sometimes it sounds like a faucet turned on inside of me.

My doctor says I make her job easy because she doesn't need a stethoscope to check for bowel sounds. My grand kids call it "Ammy's belly dragon".

Water is what does it to mine. When I have a drink of water... It's like there is another person speaking a foreign language inside of me.

I try to laugh it off but it's hard when it's something important.
