 Hi,

My Dr. Is Dr. Stephen Simper too.  How did you like him and what did you get to eat following surgery?  I met him once and really liked him.  He is doing a revision from RNY to DS because I have gained my weight back.  Don't listen to negative people.  When I had the RNY, I was 20 pounds underweight and everyone told me I looked like a crack ***** and that I looked like I had cancer and they all started force feeding me.  My self esteem went down the drain and now I am back where I began.  Everyone is happy that I am fat except me.

This time, I am not listening to anyone.  They are just jealous and I felt good and had energy, got a new hairdo and new clothes and now I feel awful so with the DS I don't think they can force feed me and if they try and will say no this time.

Tell me all about Dr. Simper.  I should be scheduled for surgery before the end of the year, I hope.

Hugs
Esther

I told people that I was not at goal or in the normal range with other people with my height so I wanted to continue to lose weight and just because they were use to me being over weight did not mean that I have lost to much it just meant that they needed to except my weight loss.  Understand that family and friends is the ones that cost you the most heartache and **** you off the most because they mean well but they do not know how to keep their thoughts to themselves.

I said "fuck no I want to be a head on a stick" they usually ran off in fear for my sanity and gossiped terribly about how I had developed an eating disorder.  **** I HAD an eating disorder called compulsive eating before and no one seemed to give a **** then.  Haters gonna be hating over my size 6's!

I of course prefer "fuck off"!  Uusally that ends that annoying conversation.

Eventually the hollows filled out again after the ketosis slowed right down.  There is that scary bit where you look terrible as your skin slides about over bones you never knew exsisted.  Because I'm an arsehole I made a point of eating constantly every time said "stop now you're skinny enough" people were around me.

My favourite conversations are these ones..."you're not going to eat that are you?  You'll get fat again"
Me: "sadly I have to eat over 4000cals a day just to maintain my weight.  It is a terrible hassle having to eat full fat foods all the time and not gain weight.....you gonna eat that?"  chewing pork cracking and piling butter onto a steak.

Your fat does redistribute and you'll look less "starved" trust me.  Drink more water so your skin gets some of its vitality back again, cause I know mine went to **** for a while there.

Meh haters are dicks!

p.s. my arse looks like the corpse of a mantaray.

RIP Mickie aka Happychick.  You will be missed deeply.

hahaha, I know what you mean. That was a great post by the way.I think losing weight is an adjustment for everyone, and it is a suprise to see who is still there when the dust settles or rather when the weight comes off, I had a few suprises. I would just joke about it and call KFC my new "Jenny Craig" , my friends couldn't believe what I could eat and still lose weight. I agree about the water and that is something I still struggle to get in. Just smile and nod when they tell you that you are too thin, and don't worry you are not too thin and you look great, its just an adjustment for everyone.

Oh, I got that crap from so many people.   I tried to explain the whole bounceback thing, and they  just eyed me like I was a freak.    We all get a bit saggy and peaked looking at first.   Your raw corners will fill back out.  Truly though, your body is going to stop when it wants to stop.   You might look a bit scrawny at first.  I did.   Then....the bounceback.     Enjoy eating what you want to eat for a while!

I got that too.  You want to take into consideration what they are seeing from the outside.  You're wasting away in their eyes and it's totally bizarre.  I think as I was losing that I looked kind of droopy at first.  It was the second year that my body foound balance in my features.
