swelling
I am almost (by weeks) a year out. I have not lost weight in 6 months. In the last 5 months, I have been swelling in my hands and feet. They have check everything. All is good but my protein was barely low and my B12 had dropped.
I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this or had any ideas.
The doctor has put me on creon. The swelling is a little better.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions on what to tell the doctor to look for.

Creon is good if you aren't absorbing, I'd just be sure I was doing my part and getting in 120+ grams of protein (whey protein isolate shakes are easier for us to absorb). Take them like medicine if you have to. Good luck and keep us posted.

I had lots of swelling pre D.S. I had an allergy test with 60 *****s up and down my back. I thought I was lactose intollerant, avoided dairy. Not dairy, I was allergic to eggs, tuna, shrimp, lobster, fish, hazel nuts, pecans. Splenda gave me mouth blisters and dry mouth. When I tried going gluten free, and eliminated the allergy foods all my swelling disappeared. Now I have eliminated all these things. All swelling gone, and I reached my weight loss goal. The elimination diet is the best way to determine which food is causing your issues, says my allergist. He says its even better than the allergy test. I began by eating only chicken breast and green beans for a week, then add one food at a time to see how you react. My" clearing system foods" are the ones I reacted least to on my allergy test. You may find different foods work best for you. My swelling decreased with the chicken and green beans the very first week. Next I tossed out everything in the house containing Splenda and Sucralose. All my issues disappeared. It took me most of this year to figure all this out. This year, the first D.S. year has been very educational for me, discovering so many foods I react to. Going gluten free is a big step too. It has helped me lose all the weight I needed to lose.
P.S. The shrimp made my fingers and feet swell. The joints were so swollen I had pain just trying to bend them. When shrimp are first caught on the shrimp boats, they are sprayed with a preserative then frozen. Most people who have shrimp reactions are reacting to this preserative.
My B-12 is high--- I use Vitafusion Energy B-12 500mcg gummy rapsberry, found on line, or at Meijers in Mi.
