Should I drop back to liquids or mushy stuff?

I've lost 24 pounds in almost 7 weeks, which is good except those 24 were lost in the first 2 weeks, for the most part, and I haven't lost anymore.  I keep gaining and losing the same pound.  Starting to get really frustrated.  After the whole surgery/pain thing, this is beginning to feel like it wasn't worth it.

I don't understand how I can NOT be losing weight after going from a diet of mostly carbs before surgery to one of mostly protein after, and eating maybe 1/4 of what I was.  WTH???

Should I revert back to a different eating pattern for awhile?  Any assistance is appreciated!

It just a stall.  Be patient.  Stay away from the scale for a while.

Weight loss rates are a bit different for everyone.  A five-week stall is not unusual.

I would say eat based on how it makes your body feel.  Focus on protein and fluids, and as many vitamins as you can take this early out.  Before you know it, the scale will be movin' and grovin'!

Hang in there--this is all extremely normal.

My pattern has become. Lose 5-6 pounds over 2 days then go up and down 2 pounds for a week, then lose another 5-6 pound then go up and down 2 pounds for a week. Frustrating, but what my body does. Listen to your body. Get in your fluids and protein. It will work.

Stay off the scale! Focus on healing, the wight will come off when your body is ready. Congrats and good luck!

Thanks guys.  Gained 2 pounds yesterday.  Starting to get really frustrated.  But I think you're right, I need to give the scale a semi-permanent home in the garage...
