Kroger Carbmaster Yogurt - Just Say NO!
It was on sale, and I bought some, only to find out that it's more like Jell-O than yogurt.
I looked at a carton of it and Kroger Blended, and found that gelatin is indeed listed closer to the top of Carbmaster's ingredient list than Blended. Carbmaster only has one more gram of protein (8g) than Blended (7g).
Personally, I'd rather have the creamier texture and taste of Blended, if I'm going to do cup yogurt. I usually buy the 2 pound tubs of Vanilla and Plain, and do flavors and fruit add-ins myself!
The next protein snack (or breakfast) I'm going to try will be greek yogurt. We'll see how that goes. Hope you find something you like too!
I'm a full fat, full flavor DSer...with only 20% of fat absorbed, you really don't have to deal with that.
Regular plain or vanilla or 2% Chobani is the closest you can get to yogurt with some fat in it. I sometimes doctor mine with heavy cream, and I usually use extracts and frozen or fresh fruit.
Greek Yogurt is the best! and if I don't have sour cream, I use the plain as sour cream on a baked potato.
Thanks for the tip on the coupon! I'm very big on couponing.

I completely agree with you. I purchased some yesterday at Kroger because it was 60 calories and 10 containers for $4. Oh, my goodness! It's only vaguely like yogurt, and it tastes like pudding with medicine mixed in. I tried one yesterday and one today to be fair, and the other 8 are going into the trash. Live and learn!
About 2 years ago, I stopped eating CarbMaster (Kroger's).
I was eating 20-25 per week.
When I picked up my weekly stash at Ralph's, I would proselytize people who were looking at other yogurts. I got many of them to buy CarbMaster (this was over a 3-5 year period).
One day, after finishing a CarbMaster, I left it on my desk and went out for about 4 hours.
Upon my return, I notice what looked like a spider-web like phenomenon within the container.
I called the market and a couple people, at Ralph’s, said they emptied containers and didn’t notice anything unusual.
I bought Dannon and Yoplait and did not have the same experience.
After numerous calls to Ralph’s and an outside agency, I was told the cause was casein and was told it was a milk by-product and was harmless.
Since it didn’t make sense that this morphing to this spider-like mass was not harmful, I discontinued CarbMaster and shifted to Yoplait light.
Whether I was physiologically damaged by CarbMaster, I don’t know, but I experienced great stress knowing that I had caused dozens to purchase this product.
Does anyone have additional information?
