I had my DS surgery one week ago...took 6 hours and I ended up in ICU because my blood pressure went through the roof. Surgery went well and bp finally came down. Lost 20 lbs on three weeks of Opti - fast pre-op, lost 18 lbs in the hospital and have lost another 6 lbs since coming home on Sunday.

Love my DS!

You must be excited to see such great results already. I am having my surgery in a few months and will be looking forward to your posts. You may want to take frequent photos of yourself. You'll be able to SEE your progress when you don't necessarily FEEL it. I wish you continued success.

Glad you already LOVE your DS & the results!!!!!!

I agree on the frequent pics....... Whne I had my 1st surgery (RNY), I would look in the mirror and not see much difference, but I had a pre-surgery pic hung up in the bathroom, and just to look at that, because 'my mind had not caught up with the outside' sure helped me ALOT!!!!!!
