I hope you'll be one of those DSrs that has no trouble with either of them. I had to start the iron by adding one capsule per wee****il I got to the full dose. Go slow.

My surgeon said to not do the tablets and to only get infusions if I need them. My PCP said NO to infusions, but he's referring me to a gastro so if the gastro says yes, then he said he'll give me whatever the gastro advises.

I hope the iron tablets in the pre-packaged Vitalady vites are obvious so I can decide what not to have. I'll be ~4 weeks out by the time they arrive so hopefully I'll be OK by then.

If the iron is carbonyl capsules, they'll be bright orange. Some folks get "motor oil" burps from some don't. Just see how you do.

Oh, and it's not a given that you won't be able to absorb carbonyl or heme iron. I absorb pretty well. It took me about a year on 5 carbonyl capsules in the afternoons and 2 heme iron (Proferrin ES) tablets at bedtime. All my iron markers are awesome now.
