Soooo sorry - just went back and read all the details about how doctors are put on the list, should have done that to begin with - wonderful, insightful responses I feel I could really trust. You've definitely helped! Have a nephew in Dallas too that might let me stay after surgery. Think I'll check it out. Luv ya'lll

Not a problem, we like to help when we can and when people will listen. Sorry I did not go into more detail at first. Someone had emailed me when you mentioned Dr Warden. You can check my profile for my nightmare with him. People who have been around know not to go to him

I do not think Dallas is that far from Denton. That is doable. He also has hotels nearby he can recommend I think. If you post and ask for Dr Stewart patients input they will answer.. and go to the Texas board and ask as well.

I saw a reply post on another thread by HayleyHayley ..  She was one of Dr. Stewart's first DS patients five years ago, and has done extremely well.  She should be able to fill you in with any info you might need about his office.

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )

running into some problems with BC/BS Federal definition of 'medical necessity'. I meet the criteria in the benefit book but according to new info I might not qualify . Something about 2 or more treated and uncontrolled comorbidities - is this the standard now?

I'm sorry to hear they've become more restrictive.  You will probably get more replies to this new question if you start a whole new thread about it.

Hi Daydreamer,

I have only heard great things about Dr. Stewart. But I am one of Dr. Wilsons patients in Houston and wouldn't have any hesitation to recommend him either. I had no complications at all and he is a great surgeon. He does the DS not just laposcopic but also robotic.

Just wanted to say Hi and let you know that there are Dr. Wilson patients out here.
