DS tomorrow!

 Hi, everyone!

Tomorrow (Monday, 6.25.2012) is my DS!

My first question is how long did you feel bad after surgery?  I'm planning on having company on Thurs.  Should I postpone for a week or two? Or a month?  

Can't wait to post here as a post-DSer!

 This is major surgery !!!   If your company is family, or close friends who understand you cant do too much, and have pain meds on board, may not be up to your old self, then by all means have visitors. Dont expect to prepare for company, no vacuuming  or moving furniture. The first week all I wanted to do was sip warm protein broth, rest  sleep and shuffle around the house. My kids came to see me. I was not up to much conversation. By  the end of the second week I was  healed enough  for  driving and walking  slowly around the grocery store holding on to the cart for support. The 6 th week the internal cuts have healed for you to be more comfortably active and eat a more varied diet. I would entertain then , not right after surgery.

 Thanks!  Company was cancelled.  Whew!  I had no idea it would be this hard, recovery-wise!
