Thought I should introduce myself

Hi All,
I'm a 58yo guy from the Seattle area that is thinking about having the DS. I've been reading books, researching and lurking on forums for a couple of months now, trying to glean as much info as I can. I've attended a couple of seminars, talked with a local (vetted) Surgeon who does the DS and so far, I'm convinced that the DS is the procedure that would be best for me.

I finally decided to come out of the closet and join the forums I've been lurking on so I can become a part of the discussion and be able to ask questions when they come up.

Welcome Dan!

Im new to the boards as well. I'm looking into revision from band to DS. I saw my first dietitian and first calorie restricted diet in 3rd grade. I just learned my insurance pays for the procedure and scheduling first consultation soon. If everything goes my way (HA!) I'll have procedure in sept/oct.
