STANK Labs!

I finally got my personal copy of my 3 year labs ( I do a 6 month interval), and D is in the toilet(26), despite 50,000IU  3X weekly, and riding in my car with the sunroof open all the time.

PTH intact has kicked in again - that means it's pulling calcium from my bones, and I officially have osteopenia. It's  up from 70 (upper range of normal) to 104, and I'm wondering if my Reclast infusion had something to do with that, because I'm KILLING calcium, both dietary and supplements. I'm also post-menopausal. With my D being out of whack, my body is probably not metabolizing calcium well.  I've had calcium issues out of the gate, so I need to find a strategy to silence that PTH and get my calcium up,  (9.0),  B12 is 1313 but my doc doesn't get bent out of shape about that.  Last labs ( 2 yrs, 6 months) it was in the 800's and I wanted it back up in the 1000's.  I do my own injections.

E is mid-range (10.0), K-1 is in the toilet (0.05) which I suspected due to some minor healing issues.

Prealbumin is solid at 30.0. Potassium is not great, at 3.8.  I will have to double or triple up on my Klor-Con EF ( Rx potassium supplement, makes a fizzy orange drink in water)

I have therapeutic (prescription) levels of the dry ADEK's so I can fix those easily.  I had an issue with Zinc last labs, and it's still there (605), even though I've been taking 50 mg daily chelated Zinc as directed. Vit E is at 10.0, Vit B1 (Thiamine) is at 135,

I just started taking Creon 24000 with my vites as well as my meals, so that may help, too.  I'm sure I'll go for a retest of the problem areas in three months.

Everthing else is good!

You might post all of your results with the normal ranges plus your supplement schedule and have in a take a look. I take 100,000 D3 a day and took 150,000 a day all of last year.

I cant seem to get the forms to copy correctly into this template.

Any suggestions?  They're in PDF format, and Word doesn't work any better.

Not sure why you were only taking 50,000 D3 3 times a week but sounds like you've got a handle on other issues. How much of each vitamin is in those ADEKs?

Formatting lab lists here is the pits. You might try a spreadsheet on Google docs, share it, and post a link here.

Vitamin A- 25,000 IU 3X weekly (dry capsule)

Vitamin D - 50,000 IU 3x weekly (dry capsule)

Vitamin E 400 IU ( I take 3 daily) 3X weekly (dry tablet)

Vitamin K-1 100 mcg (I take 5) 3X weekly - looking for higher mcg per tablet - suggestions?

Vitamin K-2 5,000 mcg (per tablet) 2X weekly (dry tablet)

I also use at least 2 whey protein isolate shakes per day (I use plain and flavor my own) as protein insurance, since I only have a 75cm CC.  I think I read somewhere on this board, or in an article that these do strectch over time, but given my malabsorptive issues, I don't think mine has.  I can still lose weight in my sleep, literally!

I have purchased some of my supplies form Vitalady, but her complete plan became prohibitively expensive for me.  My two main sources are ProHealth (Vit. D) and Lucky Vitamin, as I get better prices, discounts and most often free shipping due to my order size.  I'm copying my complete regimen to this post, so anyone who has pointers, feel free. This is the same list I take with me to medical and dental appointments, along with list of Rx meds for lupus and fibro.  I update as needed, in terms of amounts taken.  This was current as of April 3rd.  Awaiting instructions from doctor per last labs.  Pointers are very welcome.

I hope the Creon helps and that you can get the times per week up. Understand the dollar issues.

That's just not enough D.  I am up to 50,000 four times a day trying to get mine up to 80.

Sun doesn't help me a bit.

"The natural way is best" is always what my NUT says, meaning sun exposure.  Since lupus doesn't respond well to sun exposure, I try to only ride with the sunroof open for maybe about an hour at a time.

I'll try increasing the D, and see what the usual letter from my program reagarding labs and supplementation says.  Usually if they say weekly, I do three times weekly, or daily I do three times daily, etc. for any increases they recommend on ANY vites!

There just isn't a "nice" response to that illogical thinking.
