Hi Carlijn M.,
I'm new here on the forum, but I've been lurking and researching this subject for months. The best book I've read so far is "A Guide to Weight Loss Surgery: Professional and Personal Views" by Rhonda Hamilton, M.D. M.P.h.. My Daughter gave this book to me a couple of months ago. I found it very informative and easy to read.
The book is written by a Graduate of Harvard Medical School, who herself had Bariactric Surgery. Because of that she was able to write the book with both the perspectives of a Doctor, and from a patients point of view. She's been in our shoes.
Although she had RNY, she still goes in depth into all the different types of Weight Loss Surgery, including DS.
You can find the book on Amazon, it's around $42 new but I've seen used copies both on Amazon and eBay selling for under $20.
Hope this helps!
