I've been reading your daily bites to get ideas of what and how I should eat. I'm 1 month post op today! I was wondering how you make your protein coffees. And do you use decaf? Is it okay to use caffine again? Thank you!
Protein coffee--
1 - 20 oz shaker cup with wire ball
4 to 6 oz of 1/2 & 1/2, water, or milk
1 to 1 1/2 scoops of IDS Vanilla-Cinnamon protein powder
{shake} until blended
Pour into huge coffee mug
Add 9 to 10 oz of hot brewed coffee (decaf or reduced caffeine)
{stir}
Add hot liquid to cold liquid to avoid lumps. Keep the protein slurry below 160 degrees.

I would use decaf, try to stay away from caffeine.
I use in a roller ball cup:
About 10oz half and half
A splash sugar free torani syrup very little goes a long way
1-2 scoops protein powder ... I use body fortress vanilla, cookies and cream, or peanut butter choc
Shake until blended
I have a large coffee cup I put protein mixture about 3/4 full or a little less.. Then add hot coffee ( always add hot to cold****ep left over protein mixture in fridge to use during the day or next day
Then I after pot of coffee has cooled I will keep left over in fridge and make the next day.
