I was just approved for the DS. I feel so fortunate, this surgery is not an easy one to get in Canada. Add to that, the fact that I am under the weight that they usually accept and I don't have major co-morbidities except for Gerd. I feel like I won the lottery. I have been so inspired by all of your successes here and on another board, thank you for helping to convince me that this is the very best surgery. I have been researching the DS for months but studies can't compare to hearing what people are living with every day. I really enjoy following all of your posts, such great support, without all the drama found on the other OH forums. Can't wait to be on the bench with you all.
