Who knew?

Today I had my preop testing. Had my usually pre needle jitters but told the tech about my vagal response and he not only used the super small needle BUT he also went on the side of my antecubital region instead of the usual dead center. Who knew a girl could have so much control over her blood testing. This whole experience has been a huge eye opener in many ways and pretty empowering. If you want to read my most recent blog posting it is pretty cathartic....long...but carthartic.

I don't know if I am actually allowed to post my blog but it is merryocean.blogspot.com

I'm glad things went well and you found ways to get through your blood test. That's a great thing since we do get blood tests often and they take a lot of blood. Sounds like you've found a good lab.

I had learned the same thing over all the years I have been *****ed.  Most nurses I have come accross like knowing where they would get the best stick.  Good for you Merry, keep telling them along the way they will listen.
