Revision from RNY to DS - your experience?

Thanks Shele, sorry that was not the right revision for you. Is it possible for you to pursue getting the real deal?

Yes it is possible, just have to wait a while. I am planing on next spring to be able to get it revised to a ds.

Hi Lisa, I had RNY in 2004 lost 122lbs stayed there for about 4 years, slowly started gaining had a baby in 2009 and couldn't lose a damn pound.  The opening to my pouch was large plus I suffered horribly with hypoglycemia.  Dr. Roslin did my RNY to DS revision on 9/26/11 and to date I have lost 74lbs and almost back to my original RNY weight. 

My recovery time was better than my RNY and I feel great.  I would take the time to explore all options and ask the vets.
