Sorry you've been dealing with UC for all these years. My uncle has it too and I know what he's gone through... saying it sucks doesn't do it justice. Glad you can control it with meds.

Sinsemilla my experience in 2010. Don't need another one for 8 years.

Thank you for that!  I have my first one coming up on the 23rd and I am a little nervous.  I am having it done because I occasionally get diarrhea that lasts for weeks on end, no matter what I eat or what anti-diarrhea medications I take, prescription or otherwise.  I might have Chron's or IBS or something but I don't know.

You're welcome, glad it helped! Sorry about what you've been going through and I hope they find what the problem is and you come out with an easy fix.

When I first started with UC, I lost 40+ in one month with severe cramping, bloating, and bloody diarrhea.....it wasn't controlled until I saw a specialist and he played around with different meds, I did discover I'm horribly allergic to any drug with Sulfa!!  You will do fine with the Colonoscopy, kind of weird but I look forward to them!!  Love the happy drugs!

Thanks!  Yeah, that's one of the things that makes it less of a dread--knowing I'll get anesthesia!  Also the hope of a possible diagnosis.  What's UC?

My guess is Ulcerative Colitis
