I really need your help

a little background

First of all let me say I run a very stressfull business
I have messed up a few things in my business life also and have asked god to forgive me and help me
I know you all are the only people who can help me, I have asked the doc and without a ds doc around no one else can help me.

It started about 12 months ago
It happened so slowly that I hardly noticed
I started to forget things, I would have good days and bad days at first
I work long hours so I thought it was sleep
about 3 months ago the forgetting got really bad
it was like I had zero short term memory
I had an IQ of 137 and now I had trouble remembering doing my work with lists and my kids future at stake
I decided to get the blood test about 1 month ago
it came back low on zinc and copper the difference wasn't huge
I also suspected niacin (which he did not test)
as soon as I started the niacin my memory started to come back as did other things
I got my period with a vengence my digestion got a little better, but my hormones went wild, wild
I almost killed myself
my nipples are leaking clear oil some white also
not alot just enought to see
I feel like someone died
I felt like this after my father died, it's like reliving it every day now, you know if you try to eat you feel pain inside and you start to cry
I also feel life is no longer worth living, I truly wish I were dead
I know this is a side effect of something
Has anyone else had this reaction to zinc, copper, niacin etc
I'm scared I'm going to do something stupid
I will not take antidepressants
I do take 5htp
this helps a little
I am on rock bottom
it's been about 2 weeks now, I thought it would get better but it hasn't
vitamins I take

2 vita code for women multi vitamins
1 b-150
1-vita code raw b
1-d3 50,000
1-A 25,000 iu
1-100mg zinc
1-10mg copper
1-100mg niacin
2-5htp
3-1000 vitamin C
2-mult mega mineral complex
1-b6 100
1-panothinic acid
2-calcimate 800 mg calcium

mostly I take these all at once or over a 3 hour period
 I know that is bad
my levels were not that low

Please help
I am really not like this, I am not this person, but I can't seem to get back to me
I hope I didn't do something permenant
(watch out for GNC B-150)
I thought I was covered with that one
I am also good on protien
the test said just boarderline on the good side

just telling you makes it a little better
so thank you in advance
I know if I would be better I would read this and go whoa, you were really out there!!
sorry for that

I saw a documentary that showed people who had psychotic episodes due to extreme stress or lack of sleep.  This can happen to anyone.   Right now you realize that something is very wrong.   Please seek help immediately.  Ask someone you trust for help to get you help.  Let professionals get you back mentally to a place where you can function and think straight.  Then we can focus on your labs/vites.  I will pray for you!

Honestly, this sounds more like a hormone problem. I would see a good endocrinologist if I were you.

I pulled this off the Mayo Clinic website. Some causes of nipple discharge:

Possible causes of nipple discharge include:

It's very, very possible you have something going on with your pituitary gland. Have you been having any headaches? Vision changes?

If I were you I'd be making an appointment with a good endocrinologist, like I
just said, and I'd be looking into getting an MRI of my head to rule out any problems with the pituitary gland. I don't know. The fact that you said you had an unusual period combined with some wacked out hormones. And the nipple discharge. And the memory loss/foggy thinking. I'm thinking there's something hormonal going on and it's not likely related to nutrition at all.

Keep us posted on how you're doing,

Lynda

I've been doing a little reading on your symptoms, and two things jump out at me. Both based on the fact that you're nipples are leaking clear and/or milky fluid, and that you're having issues with your thinking and your mood. The two things that jump out at me are:

1. Prolactinoma.

This is a problem related to the pituitary gland putting out too much of the hormone prolactin. The cause is usually a tumor on the pituitary gland itself. Low thyroid levels could be a cause, but the main cause seems to be a tumor.

Here's a link to the Mayo Clinic's website:

www.mayoclinic.com/health/prolactinoma/DS00532

2. Galactorrhea.

This problem is also related to the pituitary gland and the production of prolactin. Though the cause of this condition varies, and sometimes isn't known. It does, however, list a tumor on the pituitary as a potential cause and hypothyroidism.

This link explains the condition further and it's also the Mayo Clinic's site:

www.mayoclinic.com/health/galactorrhea/DS00761

Now I'm not trying to scare you, but what you're experiencing isn't normal and shouldn't be ignored. I strongly encourage you to see an endocrinologist. Not a gyno. They know about childbirth and diseases of the reproductive system, but not so much hormones. Don't bother seeing a psychiatrist, your symptoms point to a hormonal problem. All these other specialists would just point you to an endocrinologist anyway, so just see an endo to begin with.

I sure hope things work out for you. It sucks to be sick and it's scary to feel so out of control. Hang in there, you'll get this fixed.

yes I know what you mean, it feels so bad
and I read some of your posts
I am on aurmor thyroid
I have always said the batches of meds don't seem to be consistent
also
this only really happened when I started the niacin
can niacin (if you were very low)
cause this flood of hormones?
it is like someone opened a floodgate
also one doc said I do have or maybe have some
adrenal fatigue
which may or maynot be related to the deficiency
go figure
