You will need an internist to follow you,  a "normal" doctor, for the rest of your life. You do not need a surgeon long term.  I am 12 years post-op and I have not seen a DS surgeon in 10 years.

Dr Roslin has an office in Mt Kisco NY, just over the Connecticut border.  Depending on where you are it might be easier for you to get there.  It's not far off of I-84.

I had my surgery in NYC, but do all my follow up there with him

You don't need a surgeon for followup. There are no ds surgeons in the entire state of Fl, I went to Mexico with Ungson. I found a supportive pcp that orders all the labs I request and I see a hemotalogist if I have any questions.

If you are getting a ds, number one rule. YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF YOUR AFTER CARE. If you can't handle standing up for yourself, TELLING the doctor what you NEED, don't get a ds.

see the vetted ds list at dsfacts.com. ONLY go to a vetted surgeon. good luck!
