I have a quick question for anyone who might know the answer to this...

Can we get too much protein in a day, how far between should we eat protein, and what can our bodys absorb at one time? TY

It's pretty close to impossible for a DSr to get too much protein since we malaborb about 50% of what protein we eat and we can't eat that much. Here's a link that might be helpful.

Here is a protein absorbtion study you can read- it is very intersting:

http://www.familybariatric.com/pdf/bgs_final.pdf

"One popular myth is that only

30 g/hr of protein can be absorbed. Although this is commonly

found in both lay and some professional literature,

there is no scientific basis for this claim. It is possible that,

from a volume standpoint, patients might only realistically

consume 30 g/meal of protein during the first year."
