In Texas RNY to DS Revision Dr. Stewart or Provost?
I have been looking for a doctor to do a Revision in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. I went in for a consult with Dr. John Alexander but he does not perform RNY to DS he only wants to revise my RNY make the pouch smaller bypass more intestines.
I have called around and was reffered to 2 doctors both located in Denton, TX about 30 min outside of Dallas. Does anyone have experience with either Dr. Darryl Stewart or Dr. David Provost? Or are there any others that you may know of?

HI, I just read your post about going to Dr. Keshishian in Calif, How long after your surgery did you have to stay there? Were you getting a revision ? If so how has the weightloss been since the surgery? Thank you in advance for your [email protected]
I agree with part of what you said. Dr. Provost does not do the DS, but the other part is not about revisions in general, where, for example, a band-over-bypass is a revision, but the very specific and rare RNY-to-DS. Dr. Stewart is pretty new to doing the RNY-to-DS, as far as I can tell. Drs. Rabkin and Keshishian in California are the main operators (ha-a pun) with extensive experience in this extremely complicated surgery.
I have an appointment with Dr Povost next Tuesday about a revision . I had gastric bypass 9 years ago this month. One of the reasons i picked him was because his website says he does the revision to DS. I'm suppose to have an upper GI done that morning at the Denton Hospital , then go to my appointment with Dr Povost. I'm upset to find out he doesn't do the DS surgey.
If you were to have to choose between a revision to DS or getting the band added to the gastric bypass, what would ya'll chose.?
I'd like to hear from both sides about weight loss after the revision. Thank you , Karen
