Is DS what you get when your Gastric Bypass stops working?
Some people do opt for an RNY to DS revision but there are only few surgeons that are able to do it. If you'd like research, www.dsfacts.com is a great place to start.

The DS isn't intended to be a second time around operation. It is a standard of care primary bariatric surgery with the best overall results for percentage excess weight loss, for maintainence of that weight loss, and for resolution of almost all comorbidities, or any presently available wls.
Yes, some people do revise from one wls to to another due to failure of the original operation. But this is usually done either due to mechanical failure of the original operation, or severe side effects, or major weight regain, not just because someone didn't get to a "normal" weight. If your weight loss has stopped, the first step would be to look carefully about what you are eating, how much you eat, how much exercise you do, etc to see if there is something you can change to enhance your weight loss with the operation you already have. Gastric bypass to DS is a complex operation with significant risks, and only a few surgeons do it.
