Just checking in...
Haven't posted on here in a while. Had my surgery back in June of 2010. At that time I weighted 276 lbs. For the last 4 months my weight has hung around 124-126lbs. Just want to say to any of the new people looking at doing the DS. My only regret it that I didn't know about this surgery YEARS ago. Do your research and make sure you are on board to do your vitamins and protein and your bone scans. If you can commit to those things, you'll do fine. There is a much better life waiting for you than what you are living in now. Good luck!!
BTW...I tried to change my profile picture, but it never changed. I have posted my most recent pictures on my profile. (any hints about getting the profile pic changed would be appreciated. Thanks!

You look fantastic!! Sorry if this is a rude question, but is that your real hair? It is so thick and beautiful! My hair has started to fall out so I pay extra close attention to peoples' hair now! Totally jealous!
Banded in March 2006, lost 15 and regained 20 lbs, revision to DS on December 19, 2011. Looking forward to loserland!
Updated: Starting weight 260 lbs, current weight 168 lbs (June 6, 2012)....I love my DS!

Hey! I don't think it's rude at all! Thank you for the compliment. :-) It is my real hair. I did loose some of my hair in the first year after my surgery. I took the vitamin biotin and that seemed to help me. I know it tends to freak you out when you loose some of your hair, but don't let it get to you too much. It will grow back, and the surgery is so worth it. Good luck to you!
