My surgeon is on DS facts.com.  Thats how I found him.  I have to pay out of pocket and it is significantly cheaper to leave the country.  I have done a lot of research and this is what is best for me.

There are not very many DS surgeons. You may have to travel, maybe not as far as Belgium though. Dr. Keshishian in California is a great DS surgeon and so is Dr.Rabkin in California. Dr. Crookes in California. Dr.Buchwald in Minnesota is well respected. Yes, DSfacts.com is a great source of help.

If you're still in Ohio, you're only a stone's throw from Dr. Maguire in Dayton.

A pharmacist suggested I switch to Pepcid, which is not delayed release. I will ask the dr when i see  him soon.

I take Omeprazole daily and it works great for me--it is definitely the delayed release type but if I don't take it, I pay the price later. For anymore questions, see my signture.

I called a pharmacist today and she recommended Pepcid. She says Pepcid is not time release. I think that just maybe the omeprazole is not working for me any longer? I will ask my new GI doc I am going to see soon.

Try taking 20mg omeprazole in the am and 20mg in the pm.  That helped me for many years.

Pepcid is not a PPI.

My insurance will not cover 20 mg x 2. I have to take the 40 mg. once a day.
