Dan's Cause of Death
The autopsy results are back. Dan died of a massive heart attack caused by cardiac atherosclerosis. The hardening of the arteries was heriditary and worsened by the time he was a diabetic before his DS. Both his father and grandfather died relatively young from the exact same thing.
So, his death was totally unrelated to his DS. Probably he would have died sooner without the DS.
I just got back from Texas where I spread his ashes on top of his Dad's grave. His Mom's ashes are there too.

Again, sorry for your loss Patty. Yes, I think the DS allowed him to be alive for longer than he would have been w/o the DS.

Patty, you are in my heart and my prayers. I am so sorry about your husbands passing.
Can I ask how long ago was his DS...I wonder if they could have seen this in the cardio workup prior to surgery. I see that you had your surgery a long time ago.
