Congratulations on your surgery. For me, it took about 5 months to work out. I remember asking my surgeon the same question. Just follow the advice you've been given.

I too, am a little over 2 weeks out....... I have had rock hard constipation......

But, because I suffered SO LONG with dirrhea, try Gneric IMMODIUM.  Granted, you are early out, so the motto is "liquis in, liquids out"

Yup, just like everyone has stated previously.. NORMAL NORMAL NORMAL..

It's one heck of a ride isn't it ! It will get better in time. Please stay hydrated and follow Dr K's instructions. He is tops !

Things will start to improve pretty soon. Your body is just saying " what in the H*LL"  did you do to me ! What is wonderful is your metabolism is fixed now and things will improve with time. Everyone's time schedule is a bit different.

You sound like a perfectly normal DS post-op to me!   For what it's worth, I still wake up at around 4:00 to go.   It seems to be my body's new routine.   I've gotten used to it.

I am fine with the waking up early but the painful cramping and watery stool I hope goes away soon

Yes - they will go away.   The only time I ever have "crampiness" now is if, for some reason, I go to a fish fry the night before.   You will probably never have the "formed" stools that you had as a pre-op.   My stoools are usually looser and "fluffy," but the watery stools will get better.
