I'm new here.  Just 2 weeks out with my DS but I've been watching this board for a while and using it as a great source of info.  I see the topic for this post "Tuesday Bites, vites, etc"  and I'm not sure what it's all about.  So I'd like to know what it's all about.  But also, I see you both listing "Protein Coffee".  please tell me more because I am having a heck of a time finding a way to get to my protein goal.

The daily Bites & Vites thread is to help those who want to be acountable or use it as a tool to help with the losing phase or the maintenance phase. You just record what you eat, etc.

Protein Coffee

Published
1 - 20 oz shaker cup with wire ball
4 to 6 oz of 1/2 & 1/2, water, or milk
1 to 1 1/2 scoops of IDS Vanilla-Cinnamon protein powder (Champion Nutrition Chocolate, Nectar Chocolate Truffle, etc.)
{shake} until blended
Pour into large mug
Add 9 to 10 oz of hot brewed coffee (decaf or reduced caffeine, chai tea)
{stir}

Add hot liquid to cold liquid to avoid lumps. Keep the protein slurry below 160 degrees.

hey mary. congrats on your recent surgery.  welcome to the dark side.  here is how i make my protein coffees:

pour coffee in a travel mug
add cream, milk whatever you like
1 1/2 scoops of protein powder( =34 grams of protein)
stir it up

i prefer champion pure whey stack protein powder. i mix  chocolate and vanilla together in a tupperware container and have on hand. 
i think champion powders can take a little bit higher heat (from the coffee) without clumping up and are not grainy.

lol.  i can hardly believe it myself. had a big to-do going on at work and some how my daily candy intake slipped my mind.  go figure.

B - 4 eggs with tons of cheese and two sausage patties

S1 - Tuna salad on cheese crisps

S2 - Pig candy (5 pieces)

L - Tuna salad on cheese crisps

S3- Cheese crisps and cream cheese, two grilled chicken breast strips

D - Three slices of Brok's pizza (two kinds of sausage and ground beef)

S4 - Sugar free jello cheesecake pudding made with heavy cream instead of milk
