XP: Open Hernia repair tomorrow, 1/11/12

He says my transverse colon is a small portion of what is bulging out in this hernia. There's a pretty high chance that he may nick the bowel. Which means he would have to open me anyway. We discussed it and I felt like it would be in my best interest to start out open.

He will be using my own muscle to hold in the hernia, no mesh. I will be in the hospital until I can eat, drink, pee, poop, and walk. These are his words.

I am pretty nervous. I know it Has to be done, not optional. It is starting to give me problems.

I have a very busy day today and a bowel cleanse tonight. I will update asap. Please swing some critters, say a prayer, send some special thoughts, whatever it is you do, I'd greatly appreiciate it! Thanks guys!

Ruby
