How Often do you feel the need to Eat

Thank you Becky.  Very helpful information.  I need to find the right food.  It’s hard because I’m lactose intolerant so when I eat the yogurt, my stomach makes sounds, when I drink my whey protein, my stomach makes sounds.  It is so loud. I’m in a very quiet office.  I’m glad I can start all over again.  When I hear what some of the ladies say what they eat I’m like that is no food at all. I would mentally starve and die.   My typical morning is chobin yogart, some meat and cheese and that is just before breakfast.  I may substitute the yogurt for oatmeal.  During lunch I would eat a sandwich, with honey wheat bread and I can eat it all.  Two hours later I can eat a salad, one hour later I can eat some popcorn.  Then I will have dinner when I go home.  Oh, I would drink some cappuccino to stay warm….I know bad.    Glad I shared my shame, it is now out the closet.

You need the "go-to" protein list.  Start a new thread and ask people to list their no/low carb protein food favorites.

Here's a start:

cheese:  brick, string, mini baby-bel, gouda,
cheese and ham "sandwiches made with thick sliced cheese and mayo.
shrimp ****tail.  I buy cooked frozen shrimp and thaw out how much I want
Cocoa almonds for a treat
Greek yogurt made with my own fixings.  (It may be the carbs and not the yogurt giving you gurgles.  Try plain Fage full fat yogurt and add some splenda and SF preserves)
Bacon.  I eat it every day.  about 1/2 a package.
Eggs:  fried, scrambled, omlettes with lots of cheese, boiled.
Peanuts in moderation.
Brok's pizza.  I eat it cold.  YUM.
STEAK
Grilled hamburger with cheese on top
Grilled chicken breasts

I would pack a BUNCH of protein foods to take to work so you never get hungry for the carbs.

So that is just my list.  If you will post asking for ideas (especially if you will go to the new forum and ask there) you can stop eating the carbs and you can lose the rest of the weight.

Becky,

Becky,

Thank you tremendously for the advice.  I’m going grocery shopping for my food for this week.

Grocery for the week

Fage yogurt ( hopefully its as tasty as chobin yogurt)  -  Great suggestion on the sugar free preserve

Cheese to snack on and I love the extra sharp cheese

Hard boil eggs for a snack

Cheese hamburger or Turkey burgers, I cannot make up my mind now

Do you eat oatmeal????  It’s probably too much carbs

For substitute for water, do you do crystal lite?

Spinach and cheese salad with balsamic or Italian dressing

I’m always snacking on popcorn

Coffee with splenda, no creams

I probably should get some brown rice

By the way do you drink diet soda?

Maybe some sugar free candy

Hopefully this will suppress my sugar addiction

Thank you

Every three hours, without fail, I need to eat a small farm aminal. Or cheese. (*grin*)

The DS kinda promotes a certain kind of grazing---we really DO need to eat protein several times a day. I keep ready-to-eat meat, cheese, nuts, etc. on hand ALL THE TIME---because if ai DON'T have ready-to-eat protein conviently at hand, I will eat bad-for-me carby **** Which ain't good.

I eat about once every two hours until about 5-6PM, and then I don't really feel any hunger.
