Hey there Carla! I'm so glad to hear all is well with you and you are doing so well! Wow 200lbs., you are amazing!
You and I have traveled a lot of the same road together, surgery only days apart, hernia surgery and TT, and now iron issues too! I also went to a hematologist and he upped my iron (Carbonyl only!) to 4 pills a day (180 mgs.) and so far so good and I feel much better. I also was a risk for iron infusions.
So many of my issues have been resolve as well, in fact the only medication I take now is Prevacid for heartburn! Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea -- all gone! We are very lucky people, we not only have been saved buy this amazing surgery, but its really nice to have someone who has been through it, and can really understand all the issues to commiserate with!
Congratulations on your amazing success, you deserve all that you have gained (and lost!) in 2011 and best wishes for an amazing 2012! :)

I feel freakin amazing and I deal with aches and pains so much better and easier. I have some back issues but its doable.
I am upping my own Carbynol and D3 cause they just dont seem to get the malabsorption issues lol. I am sick of teaching them so I will take a little break and then start on them again.

Carla, Congratulations and thanks for sharing your story. I am so happy for you! I know what you mean when you see overweight people and think how the DS could help them. Your story is so wonderful...not only resolving your health issues, but you are living your life with a new zest! I'm so happy for you!
OMG, my bones are so thankful. I love walking, riding a bike, kayaking and would like to start running but everytime I think I can start I have another surgery lol.
