What Elizabeth said.  A revision from DS is to beef up the DS itself, be it a smaller stomach if it's stretched too far, and/or shorter cc.

Maybe I've missed something, but are you sure you have a DS? Did you go to a different surgeon than the one you have listed? Because he doesn't do the DS.

Oh yes I had to find another dr due to my hmo.. . My Dr Michael Ujiki. In Evanston Il.  And yes all he does  alot of  revisions..etc.  Is there a place on the site to add your drs name if his name is not on drop down list?

Removed because OH has chosen to share my posts, upload, journey etc. on Facebook without my permission. Moderation that is unfair and prejudicial.

Tell us your operation stats. Size of stomach to start out, length of alimentary limb and common channel.

Then tell us what you typically eat. When did you last have lab work done? How are your nutrition levels? What is your supplement regimen like?

Oh, and if this new surgeon wants to revise you to ANY OTHER PROCEDURE, run for your life.
What Elizabeth said. And I'd add to that to have your thyroid labs drawn: TSH, Free T3, Free T4. Low thyroid can certainly cause problems with weight gain.

I know, I know. I'm harping on the whole thyroid thing today. But I have good reason. I've been hypothyroid for a loooong time and didn't know it. Now that I know, I've been learning everything I can. You wouldn't believe all the things that can affect the thyroid hormones. For instance, having low ferriton can contribute to hypothyroidism, as the body needs iron for the cells to take up T3. Since you've had the DS, Michelle, your iron and ferriton might not be right. So, in addition to having your nutrition looked at, have your thyroid labs drawn as well.

Here's a great site for info on hypothyroidism: www.stopthethyroidmadness.com

Good luck. You can get through this,

Lynda

PS: It might not hurt to check your cortisol levels as well. Too much cortisol can cause weight gain. Again, go to the site listed above. There is a wealth of information there on not just the thyroid, but on the adrenals too.
