Excellent Bites. I love seeing the variety of different items that still offer protein.

Hi Gina,
Interesting dinner. We ate over 2 hours and I didn't find it particularly good, although it maybe just me. I get very cautious when eating out. I did love the wine and the dessert. The menu was set for us with only a few choices, so it ruined my plans.

B: bacon, double protein shake
S: Adkins mudslide bar
L: salami, olives, mixed nuts
S: CS fudge bar
S: double protein shake
D: 3shrimp, couple bites of salad, one bite of penne pasta, few asparagus, mashed potatoes, lemon bar, glass of wine

V: done
F: done
E: Christmas shopping

IKWYM when the menu is set. We just do the best we can. Even if I can choose sometimes it's just not what I had in mind.  And we thought cats were finicky eaters.

LOL! I was picky before surgery, now it's just worse.

We were a little late and when I walked in someone said, "you're so tiny!". And others agreed. Made me feel really good because I feel huge, like an amazon. I'll take tiny any day.

i know what you mean gail.  hate it when a menu is preplanned. i know this keeps costs down, but geesh.........guess that's why i keep nuts in a ziplock baggie in my purse.  never know when a food emergency will arise.  lol.
pre-op i loved beets and asparagus, now they are yucky to me.  beets taste like rusty old nails and asparagus have a high chemical, ammonia taste.  ewww......

I think the taste changes are so interesting. I didn't experience it after my RNY.

much better day carb wise.  even though i did more holiday baking, i could have cared less about eating.  considering i usually eat all day long, that's kinda scary for me.  oh well.

double protein coffee
2 fried eggs
scrapple
sl rye toast
double protein coffee
insides of a pizza cheesesteak
double protein decaf coffee
3 milk duds
1 hershey's kiss

vites:  all accounted for
fluids:  lost track - possibly 60 oz ???
