I get the same thing... people commenting about me eating all day long. What they don't get is that I don't eat the same amount they do at meal time. I may eat half my sandwich at lunch and then an hour or two later finish the other half. They are very full from their BIG lunch and can't imagine eating again - but I can :)

Do you have issues with high blood sugar or low?  You mentioned both...

I am almost 23 months post-op and I usually am hungry and have to eat something every 2-3 hours.  I focus on proteins first, but at almost 2 years post-op I have let some carbs back in in the forms of nuts and oatmeal.

If I don't eat every 3 hours or so, I find myself getting super hungry and I then find myself eating my meals way to quickly and they don't sit good!

I've gotten used to people around me asking if I am eating yet again!  Those close to me (best friends and family) have completely gotten used to how often and what I eat now.  (Example: During bowling league I love having the Chili Cheese Fries because they are the special, but I have them made with extra chili, extra cheese, and topped with bacon.   Then I typically end of eating only a few of the actual fries and eating the topping! lol  The first time I ordered it the waitress asked if I was eating for two!)

That does sound good!  It's like my own little (well, big) bowl of chili with french fries as a side item! lol

Having nothing to do with hypoglycemia, I eat every couple of hours, myself.  I don't get to sit down to a respectable meal often, so I nibble here and there.  Hubby says I eat like a bird....little bits, but all the damn time.
