Thanks for sharing your story. I will be having a revision of my RNY to DS on Dec. 15. I'm very new here, but not new to the WLS world :-) My original surgery was May 2002 in Chicago at Northwestern. I'm in LA now, I've struggled all these years, was 278 when I had surgery, barely got below 200 lbs and worked soooo hard, diet/exercise, really changed my life. I'm back up to 240, I finally decided to pursue a revision, which was approved by my insurance. You sound exactly like me with needles/IVs, I'm a hard stick too, and it's the thing I dread almost the most about surgery!
