My granddaughter Hope was born today at 4 o'clock. It seems she will pass through this life rather quickly. My daughter and son in law will stop life support in 72 hours on her. She is at Riley Hospital for children. This is one of the best hospitals in the Nation. I know that even the best hospital and staff just can not get the job done at times. When it's your time, nothing is going to help. Say a prayer, moment of silence for Hope. In the end hope is all we do have. Karen

Karen, I'm so sorry - I can't imagine. My thoughts are with you, and Hope's parents, and all those who love her.

I just (sort of) became a grandmother myself this week - my husband's daughter, who was estranged from us for a few years, has reconciled with us, and came out from VA for a visit last week with her 7.5 month old daughter. I'm just falling in love myself, and I already don't know how I can be without her.

I am so sorry for the loss of your hopes and dreams for her life. Some precious little ones are meant to return to heaven after only a taste of this world. Her work here will soon be done. I know you will never forget her. Peace be with you.

So sad. I will pray. No parent should outlive their child. I have lost a child too, I am just so sad everytime I hear of another parent experiencing the loss.
