Getting ready to have my one year labs drawn.  Yes, all 12 or 15 tubes of it and I can't remember which one needs the foil around it.  I know the lab won't know either.  Thanks for the help.

I believe it is A, E, & K.  But I could be wrong on the K.

None of them do when it is being drawn.  I've been told this by a person who owns a lab.  They light protect  some during processing but it is not necessary when they draw it.

I'm getting the DS in just a few days. Can you all explain what exactly you're all referring to with the foil around the tubes?  Any information would be appreciated!

Sheri - certain labs require the speciman to either be frozen or protected from light. The lab tech usually put aluminum foil around the ones that need to be protected from light. I've also seen them slip the vile into their labcoat pocket right after draw to protect it.

If its a good lab and a thorough tech, this is not anything you need to worry about.
