Congratulations on the big decision, Kirmy! I'm a PA and in a similar miserable situation (although I'm sure the specifics differ) and on the brink of making a big career change myself. It takes guts! This post was right on time to inspire me! Good luck with the new job.

Good on you! Sounds challenging and fun (except for the North Sea part, and the being away from David and the doggies), and the break you need.

Just make sure one of your assignments involves a port of call in San Francisco!
