newbie looking for some advice

and then there's part of me that just thinks I should suck it up and do the old fashioned route...I guess my curiousity got the better of me and so I decided to do some research on the idea of revisions...

Now I can say contact Dr. Greenbaum in NJ. www.duodenalswitchdoc.com . He does a limited number of RNY to DS revisions and is likely to mention if not recommend the option of a very distal RNY revision. Some people think that's okay. I would not if I were in your shoes.

Dr. Paul Kemmeter in MI is doing some RNY to DS revisions, as is Dr. Daryl Stewart in TX, and a few others. The really GREAT revision surgeons are Drs. Keshishian and Rabkin, both in CA. There is no such thing as a qualified RNY to DS revision surgeon in PA, sorry.

Honey I'm in Scotland so not much good to you but what I have gleaned from being here for almost three and a half years (**** is it that long) is that this is a very very complex procedure.  You must go to one of the specialists in revision which I believe has already been suggested.  You must travel and be prepared for an increase in surgical and recovery risk.

Just to throw another name out there is Dr. Buchwald in Minnesota, all he does is DS and Revisions. Last time I talk to him he said he was seeing more and more revisions from rny to ds.
