Pre-Op Blood Labs

I've entered my pre-op blood lab work, and would appreciate any feedback.

I think I'll probably have my surgery in March, so I need to get the troublesome readings up by then.

I'm taking 2 Tender Irons a day for the low iron.  I don't know if I double up on either time if that will help even more.

I was taking 3000 IU of D3 a day before this test, and they asked me to up that to 5000 due to my PTH level.

I was also told to take Milk Thistle for the liver tests that were slightly off.

Are the Tender irons capsules at 60mg each? If so, I'd also add a Proferrin ES at another time during the day. Make sure you're taking the Tender iron away from dairy, calcium, whole wheat, eggs and caffeine.

If you're taking dry D3, you could raise your dose even more--maybe to 20-25,000IUs a day until surgery.

I wish they had tested your vitamin A and K. My vitamin A was as bad as my D pre-op.

Milk thistle is a great idea.

You might want to start taking a multi in the AM and PM.

Also, start on some protein shakes now to get your protein up.

That's all I can think of. :)
