8 Days Out of Plastics...
OMG, I cannot believe how good I am doing! This morning I showered, got ready and dresses all on my own! The only thing I cannot do is put socks on and right now my toes are a tad chilly! Once my drains are out, besides walking a little hunched and slow you would never know I was cut apart 8 days ago!
My drains are down to draining 1/2 tsp of fluid each DAY for the last 3 days. I am going to tell him either he pulls them today or I am pulling them tonight at home myself! And I am not joking! In my right leg I can feel the actual drain under my skin go up my leg and into my stomach and right where my leg bend the drain puts a ton of press there and really bothers me. If it were draining a ton of fluid I could bear with it, but for 1/2 tsp of fluid in 24 hours, FTS! hehe
I am soooo itching to get back to running. I've had to shove my running shoes in the closet where I can't see them! Not only did Dr. Livingston make me promise not to run, but I have a stress fracture in my left foot and have 5 weeks left before I can start running again due to that! Oh well!
Oh I forgot... The best part of this... when I sit I no longer pudge up in my middle section! OMG, just for that reason alone I am so grateful for this surgery! I HATED all my skin pudging up in the middle when I sat down!
For those who know me know how much I was FREAKING out about this surgery! I was more nervous about this surgery than I was having my DS done! Why? I was freaking out about the recovery. I had heard both ways on which way it could go. All I can say is I wish everyone who had this done had my recovery because it's pretty much painless, smooth, and AWESOME!
So thankful for my DS! 1/20/2012 - SW 290/CW 155 - 1 year to lose, 1.5 years and counting maintaining!
