Crohn's Disease
I would be very careful. There are a lot of considerations, how well controlled, how severe, etc. Especially if the Chrohn's affects your small bowel. You definitely don't want to get all that inflammation (which causes malabsorption in it's own right) on top of an already very malabsorptive procedure.
If you are not familiar with it, please read up on low dose naltrexone (LDN) for auto immune diseases. It works particularly well on Crohn's disease. Read more about it here: www.lowdosenaltrexone.org
Be sure to watch the video about the Crohn's patient. I use LDN for another auto immune disease and I have had remarkable results. On the web page there is a list of reliable pharmacies that compound LDN and my experience with Skip's Pharmacy has been great. I have called the pharmacists there with all kinds of questions and they have always taken the time to speak with me and answer all of my questions. Call them if you want to hear about other patients who have issues similar to yours.
