Idea for old tee-shirts

My wife came up with a good idea for some of our older tee-shirts.  She is cutting the art work off the back and or front of some of our favorite old(and way too big) tee shirts and we are having a quilt made from the shirts.  Most of them are from our trips together so I can't wait and with the size of some of my old tee shirts, it won't take a lot of them to cover our king size bed.

I have made throw pillows out of old t-shirts that I loved and had great designs but got stains (the "shelf" always helped with that). Just another idea, but you'd have to pick just a couple of your favorites, the way we're all shrinking out of our clothes

My girlfriend does that. She also does a mix of t-shirt and jean material and it was nice to be able to gift my step-mama with a quilt that smelled like my daddy, and was all his harley t-shirts and jeans.  Much less creepy than just leaving his clothes lying around after he died.  :}

Neat idea!  I hope you'll post some photos after she's done!  I'd like to see the finished product.

I make sacarves ou tof them...same premise, cut into squares (i do 12x12) and sew 10 or so of them together add  tshirt backing to them and  ta da..a. great scarf.   Loce to play around with looks...my brother is a black freak so I saved all my black ones, went to thrift store bougth a few black t shuirts to fill in...really cool look..  IIts amazing how much a bunch of old t shirts look when color coordinated together....
